Healthy Extra B or 6 SYns
One of the main problems when it comes to following the Slimming World plan is cutting out the junk food i.e KFC, McDonalds and other takeaways.
We have a slight weak spot when it comes to KFC, up until now it was hard to find a decent replacement then we stumbled across this recipe and it comes pretty close to KFC whilst keeping it syn free. In this case use the breadcrumbs as your Healthy Extra B otherwise add 6 syns.
Ingredients
- 2 Large Chicken Breasts
- 4 x Slices Wholemeal Bread (400g Loaf)
- 1 Teaspoon Oregano
- 1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Sage
- 1 Teaspoon Basil
- 1 Teaspoon Pepper
- 2 Teaspoons Salt
- 2 Teaspoons Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 2 Eggs
Method
Step 1
Carefully cut the chicken breasts into strips similar to KFC size
Step 2
You can either make your breadcrumbs in a blender or buy them pre-made from a supermarket (ASDA, Tesco etc) Add them to a mixing bowl and throw in all the herbs and spices. Give it a good mix until it has all merged together
Step 3
Beat the eggs and pour them onto a smallish plate or bowl, put the breadcrumbs onto a plate. Now take your chicken and place it into the egg mixture then into the breadcrumbs do this 2-3 times to ensure a full coating.
Step 4
Put the chicken into the oven for around 25 mins at 180degree (or equivalent dependant on your oven).
Step 5
This goes perfect with some taste Slimming World Chips and don't forget to fill 1/3 or your plate with speed food!
