So we have put together this recipe for a pretty much Syn Free Slimming World Pizza Recipe to help satisfy the need for pizza without blowing a whole weeks syns on 3 slices!
It’s probably best to make up the pizza sauce before starting with the hash brown waffles as the whole recipe is quite quick.
- 800g of Peeled Potatoes
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
- Black Pepper
- Spray Oil
- -- For The Pizza Sauce
- 1 cup of Passata
- 2 tbs Tomato Paste
- 1/4tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4tsp Onion Powder
- 1tbs Powdered Sweetener
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 100g Mozzarella (Grated) - HeA x2
Firstly, peel the potatoes and place into a bowl of water to stop any browning. Making sure all the potatoes are covered.
Next, start to grate the potatoes and squeeze out any extra liquid left over. Then place the grated potatoes into a large bowl with the egg and mix.
Now, add the salt, black pepper and onion powder and give it another mix.
Heat up your waffle maker and cover with a good coating of Frylight or or low calorie spray oil. Add the potato mixture until you have evenly covered the waffle maker.
Close the lid and cook for around 6-8 mins adjusting cooking times until golden brown.
Whilst those are cooking, preheat your oven to 220c
Gently take the hash brown waffles out of the waffle maker and move onto a baking tray. Now add the pizza sauce and evenly spread it across the waffles.
Coat generously with mozzarella and any other syn free toppings and place in the oven for around 15mins or until cheese and melted.
